Here are some maps from an old ALA map book, (circa 1920) they're interesting because they show the railroads and they're very detailed. I scanned them in with the idea that the detail was very important, therefore the files are very big. They range from roughly 400k up to about a meg or so.
I have found these maps useful in determining which ROW's are likely to still be around and which ones are likely to have had a highway built on them. It's interesting to see which roads were around way back then. Because they're scanned in with in fairly high resolution you can zoom in with your viewing software for more detail. Printing from these jpgs should result in pretty good reproductions.
This map is the biggest, I scanned it in as a full page so it's double the size of the rest. It shows the WN&P from Worcester to Hollis N.H. (Just outside of Nashua). The map is a bit over a meg in size.
This first map shows Nashua and West . It's got good detail and it shows the WN&P coming out of Nashua heading towards Hollis.
This next map is real good, it shows the line from Nashua all the way up to Barrington.
Here is the line from Barrington to East Rochester.
This This is the section from Rochester up to Gorham Maine
And finally we arrive in Portland.
