The Eastern Route, formerly the Eastern Railroad, is in use for commuter rail tojust over the line in Newburyport. Look at the map above and you will see where the line crosses Parker St. The end of track is a few feet south of Parker Street. From Parker Street north up to Hampton the line is abandoned.
