The South Reading branch ran from South Reading, now Wakefield, to South
Danvers, now Peabody. From Peabody it ran over the Essex RR tracks into
Salem Mass where it met with the Eastern Railroad.The line is still in
use to the current end of track in Peabody where it serves as an industrial
spur. You can see the present end of track if you follow the line west
from Peabody.
The South Reading branch went through the following towns..
