East Lebanon is one of my favorite places on the WN&P because there is still quite a bit of the right of way that is still visible. You enter East Lebanon on route 202 which was built on the old railroad line. When you get to the lights at Depot Rd, route 202 goes off on it's own and the WN&P went straight, right through what is now a mobile home park and continues on it's way to Sanford.
On the edge of the park is a milepost. It's painted up with the correct mileage but I beleive it has been moved from it's original location.
From Depot Rd to the Sanford line the line is intact although there is a portion that is being encroached upon and before long most likely is going to be obliterated.
The station and freight house are both gone. The station name was "Eastwood" and it has been moved to another town in Maine.

Milepost in East Lebanon. 43 miles to Portland looking East.

104 miles to Worcester. Eastwood station was at mile 103.7 so this post was not moved very far.
I'm standing on the WN&P right of way looking west towards Rochester. Route 202 straight ahead was built on the old railroad bed.
Excuse the windshield wiper, this road in the mobile home park is the old roadbed.
The right of way continues then goes off into the woods.
Just beyond the trees are a set of abutments where the line crossed over a good sized stream. I've been in there before but on this day it was pouring rain and I wasn't going to get out and get the camera soaked.
View of right of way looking west.
This short piece of right of way is about a mile east of the previous picture. It is just east of the former Anderson's siding and leads up to someones driveway.
I've just turned around and here is the view looking back. There used
to be a bridge where the right of way rises. The bridge carried Smith Road
over the tracks.
Note the shap rise as the right of way now rises up to meet Smith Rd.
This is the location of Anderson's Siding. This view is looking west at the Middle Rd grade crossing. We are 1/3 mile west of the Smith Rd.
Another view, a short distance down the right of way is another set of abutments where a bridge carried the line over little river.
There are other sections of the line worthy of note in East Lebanon. I will post pictures of those sections when I can find them.
